Visiting Williamsburg

Make the Run for the Dream weekend a true family experience. Williamsburg and the rest of the Historic Triangle offer numerous opportunities for exploration and fun. Families can experience history firsthand with outstanding museums, historical reenactments, historically accurate buildings, and the sense of visiting the streets walked by the likes of George Washington, James Madison, and Thomas Jefferson. Fun for the Whole Family!

Be sure to return to the Historic Area of Colonial Williamsburg after the race to experience historic interpretations and world-class dining and shopping. 

Colonial Williamsburg has generously donated FREE passes for the first 6,000 Run for the Dream registrants and all Wounded Warriors, as well as a 50% discount for friends and family!

Passes are valid May 19-20, 2012.

Make time to enjoy the roller coasters at world famous Busch Gardens amusement park, consistently named the most beautiful in the Nation.

Busch Gardens Williamsburg has generously donated FREE passes for the first 3,000 half marathon registrants and all Wounded Warriors, as well as a 15% discount for runners' friends and family! These one-day tickets are good for Friday May 18, Saturday May 19 or Sunday May 20.

 

Visit Historic Jamestowne, the original site where the first settlers landed in 1607, and Jamestown Settlement, a living history park where you can see replicas of the ships that brought them. In Yorktown, tour the battlefields where young colonial fighters bested British troops and virtually ended the Revolutionary War.
